However, the menu is quite varied and the prices are very reasonable so we gave it a go and we were so pleased that we did. The food was excellent, as well as the service. Can recommend the dumplings as starters and the Udon duck. Two of us ate a two course meal with drinks for less than £40 and still had a substantial doggy bag to take with us. Sorry forgot pictures, will add next time 😉 😀 . Beautiful food! The atmosphere is a little dead! I feel it needs some background music on very low will lift the mood of the place. Please don't let the surrounding buildings put you off. Our first visit last night won't be our last. It's £15 per person which is a very reasonable price considering they have included duck with pancakes always a pricey starter add to which many starters mains and deserts to chose from. See you soon xx Mags and Steve xx This restaurant used to be our favourite place to eat, we knew it wasn’t as it was but chose it for a birthday meal on Sunday, we booked a table but when we got there only 2 tables were taken and could pick where to sit, our drinks order was taken by the lady with the apron that has worked there a long time, we asked for separate payments and was told no we couldn’t as we were sat at the same table, her attitude wasn’t good and definitely not welcoming, we got up to get our starters the one choice of soup was nice but only warm, the drinks took ages to arrive by a very nice gentleman who took our payments and did do separate payments but said if we wanted anymore drinks we couldn’t do it on the cards we had payed on because they can only be used once? They food was ok not a lot of choice same as usual, but again only warm, on the next table was some young men with their feet on chairs slurping trifles out of the very small shot cups as many as they could plainly messing around, it was very uncomfortable especially when we had a 3yr old with us. I’m sorry to say after all these years that’s the last time we will be going to jades, there is a far more superior buffet restaurant also within walking distance, welcoming friendly staff that we don’t have to pay upfront can spit the bill get as many drinks as want that has far more verity and my grandson gets a choice of lolly pop on the way out probably why it’s extremely busy. It also has a pub on site. Slide 1 of 6 Fantastic little buffet. Me and my partner enjoyed our meal immensely, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We only wish we had booked to stay in your hotel, as the one we booked was awful, and we're sure given the cleanliness of the restaurant and hospitality of the staff, it would have been a lovely place to stay. We would visit again when we visit Blackpool. Thanks guys. We have just returned home from a two day stay in this hotel. The staff are so nice each one of them. Our room was nice and spotlessly clean, my only issue was it took a long time for the shower to warm up. Which was fine when it did. Had a great stay and the bar they have is so relaxed with friendly staff and local customers. Can not find fault here. I’ve actually booked to return next year. See you all soon. I'd booked a table for my wife and I online but went there a day early by mistake but the lady behind the desk found us a nice table and was very friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely, staff were friendly and as soon as our plates were empty it was whisked away by staff. I've been to many Buffet restaurants in the past who give quantity rather than quality but I can honestly say the Gurkha Bar on Waterloo Road in Blackpool is definitely the opposite. Great value for money and highly recommended. Me and my mum were staying at Blackpool for the illuminations this weekend and found this wonderful little gem on trip advisor, we called to book in and they were very accommodating. Mum is a very fussy eater and she thoroughly enjoyed the meal with plenty to choose from. There was a wonderful selection and we were very pleased with the restaurant overall. The team were very friendly, efficient and discreet. The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated and had a lovely feel to it. Thank you all for a nice evening :) I love this buffet restaurant. It has Indian, Chinese and Thai dishes which are all really good quality for a buffet. The restaurant is popular so food is replaced quickly and therefore is usually fresh and hot. The range of puddings (cakes, ice cream, fruit and jelly etc.) is also a nice touch. For £14 this unlimited buffet is great value and the staff are pleasant and attentive. Ordering is all done through the app and the robot machine called bellabot will come to your table with anything you order the majority of the time. The food itself is quite nice some items taste just average and it's nothing that will blow you away but there are some real nice items such as the Duck Strips in Hoisin Sauce. Considering my hotel wasn't especially near their place I was a bit worried but it was great, from the delivery guy who was friendly, polite and efficient to the food, which was hot, fresh, delicious and well-packaged with no spillages. The food even arrived 10 minutes earlier than the estimated time. I'll definitely order from here again when I stay in Blackpool.
