@Rahime_Baykus Now that I think about it, there is a movie called "wag the dog" It's about a US president and an advisor who is hired to help tell a convincing lie. If you can find and follow the movie, it should give you a much better understanding of the concept.😉

Yeah thats what i mean . Actually its korean idiom but when i translate it into english its says wag the dog and i couldnt understand it well

@Rahime_Baykus I've never heard of it used with flirting but to add to what @Blink01 said - the idiom implies that the dog wagging and/or tail wagging is a distraction from what is really going on. Meaning, there's some problem but I distract you from it with another problem that is possibly more interesting (or more scandalous) so that you don't pay attention to the previous problem.

A simplistic example - A teenage girl tells her parents that she's pregnant. After they freak out, she tells them "that's not true, but I'm flunking my history class".

A more serious and true example: The U.S. government waited until the nation was in an uproar regarding Bill Clinton's affair with an intern to release the information that the C.I.A. introduced the drug crack cocaine into black communities. The drug information appeared as a small article in newspapers that received very little attention than if it had been released at any other time.
