Anyone got an views on the above, please? My recommendation would be to use the fixed output from the Caiman. AFAIK the signal is the same apart from the volume control, BUT it is all to easy to move the volume control around (especially with little fingers in the home) without you being aware you have done so and at best it will scare the living daylights out of you from too loud a volume and at worst bye bye speakers cones :( I'd agree with Frank - and why have the extra circuitry of the volume pot in the signal path if you don't need it? Hi Anthony, I have a similar setup in my study, but slightly second division compared to yours...M-Audio 192, Beresford TC-7510 MK6/4, Audiolab 8000S, Mission 780SEs I'm using a Belkin pure white coax into the Beresford, and Belkin pure white RCA into the amp via the fixed outputs from the beresford. I've just replaced a set of QED Qunex 3 30th anniversary RCA interconnects with the Belkin pure white ones, and it's a very nice improvement. They're only about �12 or so on ebay.
