Helikon tex training mini rig review năm 2024

I know almost for certain that their gear is made in Taiwan, but that doesn’t really mean poor quality. I’ve bought Chinese made 3M safety glasses from Home Depot, and they’ve saved me from going blind on many occasions.

What do you guys think? Is Helikon Tex gear worth spending money on?

I have not used or had one so can not comment. But I have used both the Wyvern and Arktis Chest Rigs if you were looking for alternatives.

I have their Matilda pack and it’s been the Goldilocks pack for me, no issues.

Helicon has been good quality in my experience. Tastes differ but the mini training rig is well made. The only other experience I have with their products is the swagman roll, also really well made.

I have the Helikon Tex Matilda, Essential Kit Bag, Bushcraft Satchel, EDC Sling Bag, and EDC Backpack with two General Purpose Cargo Pouches. All are very well made. I understand they are designed in Poland, but they are made in Vietnam. It is excellent gear. I used them for about a year, then put them in storage after i got hooked on The Hidden Woodsmen.

Dont tell anyone, but I like my Helikon Tex gear better than The Hidden Woodsmen. I do believe The Hidden Woodsmen is better gear, but Helikon Tex is very comfortable and well made. Good is good enough, and you will be hard pressed to find better gear for as good a price.

I have their Bushcraft Satchel and Haversack, both are extremely well made and well thought out. Their stuff is also very lightweight. I've use the satchel for overnight trips fairly often over the past 5 or so years and so far no tears, the zippers are still perfect. I have no complaints, I'm sure the chest rig is probably the same quality.

I have a little "don't tell me what to buy" push-back / attitude stemming from how heavily their products are pushed by certain youtubers.

That said, I did rather like their "numbat" chest rig, and will probably get one the next time the color combination I want is back in stock, though it'll probably see far more use fishing than anything else outdoors.

Helikon is very good bang for the buck. I have a few of their packs and pouches.

I use the urban courier bag as my work bag. Just picked up the Urban EDC bag in multicam. I haven’t had a chance to get out with the urban edc yet. Both are great quality, great zippers, material etc. I prefer a pack/bag with organization for pens, pencils etc, both of these bags lack that and I had to add organizational panels. Other than that, they are great

The Vietnamese textile Industriy was elevated and educated by the east German textile industry. They came here in order to learn and study it and worked for many years in the factories. That's why a lot of highly reputated outdoor products are made in Vietnam.

I don't have a Helikon chest rig, but have purchased a number of other bags and clothing items. While some of their features may be poorly conceptualized or extra, the textile and stitching quality has all been fantastic. Chinese or Viet made doesn't always equate with poor quality. There are a ton of factories that are turning out quality product to rivial domestic, all because of top tier oversight and QC.

I’m looking at buying a chest rig from Helikon Tex (I.e The Training mini rig.)

I’ve seen good reviews, and I’ve seen bad ones. I’m not quite sure what to think at the moment.

I know almost for certain that their gear is made in Taiwan, but that doesn’t really mean poor quality. I’ve bought Chinese made 3M safety glasses from Home Depot, and they’ve saved me from going blind on many occasions.

I have the Training mini rig and it's pretty solid for the price with a lot of included features many other systems sell a la carte (like Spiritus and Haley). It's not my primary rig, but I've used it and consider well-built enough and adequate enough for duty use.

Not all their products are made in Poland, and as mentioned, I think those outsourced are made in Viet Nam. I have a variety of their pouches and some of their clothing, it depends on the category, but most are well made and very functional. Their Swagman Roll is good kit.

Many European coalition service members were using a lot of Helikon-Tex products, all of which were sold in a German "PX" when I was in Afghanistan.

I have been very impressed with the Helikon-Tex gear I have used. So far, I have tried the Gunfighter jacket, OTP pants, and recently the EDC side bag. No complaints, and I am difficult to please. The only pair of outdoor pants I prefer over the OTPs cost me $200 more... if that tells you anything. The Gunfighter jacket is my go-to in the spring and fall, and has survived over 4 years of hard service with aplomb. Their EDC side bag has quickly become a favorite of mine and replaced a satchel made by a high-quality domestic brand, mainly due it having a superior organization system for my purposes. It was a step down in material and build quality (only because the Made in USA satchel was absurdly overbuilt), but several steps up in design and usability.

The materials and build quality exceeded my expectations, but the functionality of their designs are beyond excellent, especially considering the price point.

They haven't disappointed me yet, for what it's worth.

I had a pack of theirs for a bit and the quality was solid.

For woods activities I use Hill People Gear chest rigs.

For training I just use Spiritus MK 4 and 5’s with the insert of choice for what I am training with. They just work for me after using stuff from different companies for years.

I would bet the Helikon stuff would work fine.

I have their Matilda pack and have been very impressed with how comfortable it is when I carry it — it just “fits” my shoulders and balances well. The best testament to Helikon-Tex is that my pack has been “confiscated” by my wife and is currently at its 3rd HS volleyball camp — and our school colors are definitely not coyote. Lol

On Helikon-Tex, I have a few items that they make and all are well made.

I just moved from a Hill People gear Chest Rig to the Bastion Gear "Mr. Frosty" Chest Rig and if it's close to what you're looking for, or one of his other various sized rigs, I can highly recommend him.

Should you buy the Helikon

In this review, I quickly go over the Helikon-Tex Training Mini-Rig (TMR). But before you read on and demand my frank opinion right away, here it is: Get it. According to the Polish gear maker, the TMR was “designed for people who spend a lot of time at the shooting range – instructors, shooting enthusiasts, competitive shooters.”

How much does a Helikon

Apart from that, having a lightweight load-bearing device means that a shooter can be nimble, quickly getting in and out of harm’s way to do the job. The Helikon-Tex TMR does the job it was designed for and more. You can get the Helikon-Tex TMR at their website for €85.00.
