How will you be using the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual this year? I think we’re all asking that same question. It’s the first time we’ve taught from the same books of scriptures using Come Follow Me. I have a bunch of old resources and some new, so keep reading and let’s make it a great year!

Save it for later, pin it now!

Journals

Whether you want to write in your own blank journal or get one with some structure, here are a few great choices!

Personalized Journal from Shutterfly- Looking for a blank journal with a personal touch? These are great! I ordered the blank template one where you just add a picture on the covers. On the front, I put a picture of the individual, and on the back, one of our whole family. On the side, I put their names and made each side color different so it would be easy to quickly grab our own. The journals come with lined pages and a ribbon to keep your place. I have also used their spiral ones in the past but some of the pages started to fall out by the end of the year so I went with this one instead this year.

Note: These journals worked great but sometimes were a pain to keep open as they naturally want to close. They held together really well and it was so nice to know whose was whose right away.

If you need a free option, head on over to my free printable study pages that encourage you to record your goals, outline for the week, even a grocery list, and more.

What are we studying in 2023 for Come follow me?

The Red Headed Hostess has two different Journals to choose from that go right along with the New Testament Come, Follow Me manuals. One is a Lesson Journal for Youth and Children which includes two pages for each week’s lesson, lined pages, and tips, questions, activities, and interesting facts. She also has a New Testament Study and Activity Guide which includes Dates and Titles, Study Squares, Study Topics, Space to plan your Family Home Evenings or Scripture Studies, and Teaching Ideas. Both look great. You can take a peek inside each one when you scroll down on her site so you can see which one is best for you and your family.

Note: I’m sure they are coming out with a new version for 2023 so stay tuned. They always do a great job.

What is the Come follow me study for 2023?

Families and individuals are encouraged to study the scriptures more at home using the revised manual “Come, Follow Me—For Individuals and Families: New Testament 2023.” This home-study manual focuses on the same New Testament scripture passages that you will learn about in your Sunday School classes.

What are we studying in Come Follow Me 2022?

This year the topic of study is the Old Testament. Previous years include New Testament (2019), Book of Mormon (2020), and Doctrine and Covenants (2021). Check out the Come, Follow Me Companion for the Old Testament.

What is the youth theme for 2023?

The Young Women and Young Men general presidencies announced last month that the 2023 youth theme will come from the New Testament: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).

When did come follow me start?

While Come, Follow Me was announced in 2012 and implemented in January 2013, this event was actually the culmination of decades of develop- ing curricular frameworks, models, prototypes, methods, designs, concepts, emphases, and materials that were created by many different committees, organizations, and departments.
