While the sniper rifle is standard issue in almost every first-person shooter, few games manage to capture the challenge and coldblooded thrills of being an actual expert marksman. At its best, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a competent sniper sim that lacks the edge required to be a real sharpshooter.

With only a few hiccups, Sniper Elite: Contracts finds the fine line between action arcade and sniper simulation. While the story might be forgettable, landing the perfect shot from 500 meters away never stops being awesome.

At its core Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts is a challenging, but fundamentally well-balanced sniping FPS, but the mask was supposed to be the thing that empowered the character and made them more than a match for the armies they’re up against — I just can’t understand why the developers didn’t let me choose how to use it, rather than forcing annoying limits upon me.

Amazing game, love it! Playing with contrcts and without openworld is what im prefer. Cant wait for next chapter.

The definitive sandbox sniper experience. Very satisfying game. Minor bugs that don't spoil the game. Would be great if you could switch off the wind indicator on the hardest dificulty. Made it too easy. I got over 50 hours achieving 100% on all maps and all Steam achievements.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts alters the course of this honed-in franchise to offer a tighter and more customizable sniping experience. It doesn't iron out all of the issues and lacks big innovations, but it's a solid fix for fans of the genre.

Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts isn't the prettiest game and certainly not the most accessible, but it's an enjoyable budget title, and worth picking up for fans of stealth-based action.

For me Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is one of the biggest surprises of the year. I was prepared for a rehashed Ghost Warrior 3 - a very tiresome production. Fortunately, the length and diversity of the new installment maintained my interest throughout the entire game. Contracts is definitely the best game in the series, far more enjoyable than Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts excels in the art of sniping, but doesn't offer anything else.

Contracts is a good option for hardcore fans of the series, but its flaws make it harder to recommend to a wider audience. It is expected, though, that upcoming patches will make it a much more appealing experience.

I really enjoy playing it. Improved AI, many ways of accomplishing - as a sniper, ghost and warrior. Possibility of developing your Seeker and unlocking new gadgets. And this price... Love it.

S:GW Contracts is a good semi-open world sniping fps game. The game has quite a few things going for it but it also has few flaws which are visible. Mainly the flaws are pretty poor optimisation and very dumb AI. There were times where squad of enemies would patrol area and if one of them were to spot me and shoot me the rest wouldn't even react which was completely **** the immersion. Frequently enemies react as a hive mind which is frustrating because it either causes you to restart or go through the rest of the mission loud. Often animations feel a bit stiff or clunky. The fall damage works inconsistently. Additionaly checkpoints are rather punishing and often will force you to play the task you've already completed all over again. And while these flaws may not sound like that big of a deal they do get annoying. There are many positives. It's unique game that fully commits to an idea of a elite mercenary sniper doing high risk jobs in different, often rural places. The sniping feels great. There's a lot of choice when it comes to your equipment for snipers, pistols, rifles, shotguns etc. There is also upgrades which aren't something completely new but they are satisfying and worth using since it gives you more tools to play around with. The game looks pretty good and locations you are placed in often are very well designed in both looks and how they play. The game allows you to fully customize your playstyle as you are never told directly how to act in a mission. All of the decisions of approach are fully made by the player which allows for creativity and helps adjust players when they first come into the game. It also adds replayability which was really lacking in previous entries of S:GW. Overall very solid game with some inconveniences that unfortunately are visible in the product but aren't the dealbreakers. The game is worth recommending to a person which enjoys stealth and fps games.

In the first step to completing a puzzle, I realized how to solve it. The method that is even needed to create a puzzle in the beginning. The way the creators of this series found it and have not been able to implement it or have not yet managed to discover it to provide an attractive game for their users. Join me, Mohammad Bagherifar, in reviewing the SGWContracts game ... At first glance, the game made with the CRYENGINE engine, such a graphic is not so attractive. Because usually first-person games have to have much better graphics than third-person games. If we saw such graphics in the Sniper Elit series, it would be 100% very positive. But neither here nor there we seek to challenge Like the previous series, this game has a very faint story and is just an excuse to complete missions. The story and characterization are so weak that when you finish the game you do not even remember the name of one of the game's characters. Perhaps the user's biggest mistake is telling the story that it is not so important. But note that this is the story that makes you continue the game to realize what happens at the end. The gameplay is at a good level. To the extent that the creators did well of what we expected from a sniper title, they even slightly changed it from arcade to simulation. In terms of bugs, the game is in good condition, it can not be said that it does not have bugs, but its bugs do not stop you from continuing the game. And aside from all this, the main positive point of this title is progress. Its significant improvement over the previous version of the series (SGW 3) in terms of graphics, gameplay and story. positive points : 1. Significant improvements over the previous version 2. Attractive gameplay 3. There are no nerve bugs cons : 1. Lack of interesting story 2. Soulless graphics 3. Very poor characterization

I cannot fathom how anyone can call this game fun or good. It really is a crying shame that this franchise has evolved into something that is a shell of what a Sniping game used to be. I've owned every game in this franchise and it has gotten worse with every single installment. The new things that are in this game are on paper great but nothing works. There so many inconsistencies it feels like a joke. If you just want to blast away like your on set for Arnold's Commando it's fine but when you want to sneak around, take long shots and be clever you run face first into a wall over and over. There are 5 missions in the single player campaign.... 5. Enemies are dumb as **** invisible, some are invincible unless you use a .50 cal sniper, Secondary rifles/weapons can't be suppressed so you can't use them, You can't aim your secondary weapons without having a stroke for some reason, chain kills only work half the time, semi-automatic rifles have a firing delay that makes them as slow as bolt-action rifles when firing rapidly, The Checkpoint saving system is triggered by waypoints on the map so you can complete objectives, get away then die and you have to do the entire objective over again because you ran another way out of the place, You do the same **** every mission, Gravity an wind means there's a 5 cm drop on shoots taken from a distance of 20 meters and there is ALWAYS winds above 6 m/s, movement is the slowest and clunkiest it has ever been, Stealthing is so slow and boring you just run past everybody because the AI is ****, platforming is clunky and not needed when it makes the main character moan like he's being mounted by a donkey every time he grabs a ledge. And mainly the tagging system is the most idiotic I've experienced. You need to equip your binoculars for that and switch between your scope on your rifle and the binoculars..... Why on earth do you need the bino when you can zoom the same in your scope and it is your mask that does the tagging? You are wasting almost hours of swapping between weapons all the time because the binoculars has to do the tagging of enemies witch is a necessity. There are good parts like the gunplay in general other than pistols only sometimes doing damage, the look of the game is nice and clean, the amount of weapons and gadgets is fine and I like the story and setting of the game. But my gosh is it boring and everything feels like a chore to do. The new challenges is OK to have in the missions/contracts but most of them are so pointless and just means you have to go full Rambo afterwards. This franchise is done. It didn't need to be perfect or eve close but it's taking its mouth so full it's choking on itself.
