Critical Capture -Thình thoảng khi bạn ném Ball bạn sẽ nghe thấy 1 vài âm thanh lạ khi bắt wild Pokemon bạn sẽ thấy Ball chỉ lắc 1 lần thay vì 3 lần như mọi khi đó là Critical Capture.Nó cũng giống như là khi critical hit vậy đó.
Combination Attacks -Trong Double và Triple Battle bạn có thể sử dụng 1 số Move kết hợp tạo hiệu ứng đặc biệt. Grass Oath + Fire Oath.Trong Doube và Triple Battle bạn sử dụng Grass Oath sau đó sử dụng Fire Oath nó sẽ tạo ra 1 cánh đồng lửa "hút" HP của đối phương mỗi lượt. Fire Oath + Water Oath.Với cùng cách thức sử dụng như trên thì sự kết hợp này sẽ tạo nên 1 cầu vồng nó có tác dụng tương tự như Ability Serene Grace vậy. Water Oath + Grass Oath.Sự kết hợp này sẽ tạo nên 1 đầm lầy sẽ giảm speed của đối thủ.Tất nhiên là với cùng cách thức như 2 sự kết hợp trên
Wild Double Battles -Điều thay đổi mới trong phiên bản này là bạn có thể double battle khi gặp wild Pokemon ở Double Grass.Điều này bạn chỉ gặp khi bạn lập đội với 1 trainer khác ở các phiên bản game Pokemon trước đây.Bạn có thể bắt Pokemon trong những trận đấu như vậy sau khi bạn đã đánh bại 1 trong 2 con Pokemon.
