This April, the new 2023 Hyundai Palisade made its worldwide debut at the New York International Auto Show, unveiling its much-improved features and technology elements. The new Palisade boasts updated interior and exterior design elements, as well as new entertainment and safety features and advanced driver assistance.

This summer, Hyundai dealers will receive the 2023 Palisade.

The 2023 Palisade’s design exudes dignified elegance and distinct distinctiveness befitting a prestige SUV. For a luxury look, a broader, cascading grille shape highlights tough parametric shield parts. The new front lighting signature includes vertically linked LED composite lights that frame the grille for a technological look.

For a premium flagship presence, new 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels fill the wheel apertures. The lower front skid plate part now has new strake detailing that adds to the rough appearance. The robust C-pillars and panoramic side window graphics communicate substantial third-row space, while the muscular, expanded hood profile generates an outstanding road presence.

Vertical LED taillamps and lower fascia skid plate elements accentuate a broad, sturdy posture in the rear vision.

A fast A-pillar angle, a rear spoiler side garnish, an improved front cooling area with an enlarged internal air path, aero underneath panels, and rear wheel aero deflectors are among the aerodynamic features of this design.

2023 Palisade now has an Ergo driver’s seat that is meant to promote comfort and aid alleviate tiredness during extended rides. The third-row seating in the Palisade now has heating, which is a first for Hyundai. For added comfort, the second row now has wing-out headrests and seat ventilation.

A full-display digital center rearview mirror with a rearview camera is offered for the driver, allowing him to see behind the Palisade without being obstructed by passengers or goods. New, slender horizontal air vents provide a feeling of spaciousness and luxury. The instrument panel has been overhauled with new ambient lighting themes for a more voluminous look.

For quicker device charging, the wireless charging capacity has been increased from 5 to 15 watts. The 2023 Palisade is compatible with the most recent version of Hyundai Digital Key.

Digital Key 2 Touch enables owners to leave their car keys at home and lock, unlock, and start their vehicle using an iPhone, Apple Watch, or Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Users may just hold the compatible smartphone near the door handle to lock or unlock the vehicle after adding the car key to Apple Wallet or Samsung Pass.

The driver may start the 2023 Palisade’s engine by touching an Apple Watch near it or by inserting the phone into the wireless charger and then pushing the start button. Keys may also be securely shared with relatives and friends via Apple Wallet or Samsung Pass. The Palisade 2023 is also the first Hyundai car to have a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Customers with cellular service will be able to set up a hotspot, allowing people to access the internet, stream films or music, and do other things they can do at home.

The interior design blends a feeling of relaxation and comfort to create a calm atmosphere, with conventional seating for eight passengers for family vacations. The One-Touch second-row seat makes it simple to slide the seat forward and out of the way, making it easier to get into and out of the third-row seat.

The third row has motorized folding/unfolding and reclining seats for further convenience. Captain’s seats in the second row are also available. All passengers will benefit from the addition of USB-C ports throughout the cabin for speedier gadget charging. Furthermore, a conversation mirror enables the driver to observe passengers in the back seat plainly.

Ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert monitors the back seats for movement of children and pets, reminding drivers to check the back seats before exiting the vehicle; if the system detects movement after the driver has exited and locked the vehicle, it can sound the horn and send an alert to the driver’s smartphone via Bluelink.

The device is intended to help prevent children and dogs from being left in the vehicle, but it can also assist if youngsters lock themselves inside.

Smooth and capable engine and transmission

2023 Palisade is powered by a 3.8-liter V6, dual CVVT, direct-injected Atkinson-cycle engine with great power and economy. This 3.8-liter engine is capable of producing 291 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 262 lb.-ft. of torque at 5,200 rpm.

Hyundai Palisade sends power to the wheels via a sophisticated eight-speed automatic gearbox with a multi-plate torque converter, which is available in two-wheel and HTRAC four-wheel-drive variants and has a final drive ratio of 3.648 for confident acceleration. 2023 Palisade is very quiet, thanks to ample under-hood insulation, sound-deadening carpets, and engine tune that produces a smooth, linear response.

Palisade also allows drivers to start their vehicles via a remote key fob or the Blue Link app.

The HTRAC all-wheel-drive system

Hyundai’s HTRAC All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) technology, which includes Tow Mode, is available on the 2023 Palisade. Tow Mode modifies the towing powertrain profile, allowing you to stay in lower ratios longer and reduce shifting frequency.

The HTRAC AWD system is a multi-mode system that has an electronic variable-torque-split clutch and active torque regulation between the front and rear axles. The HTRAC Normal, Sport, and Smart settings, which are configurable by the driver, aid in providing confident control in all weather situations.

When the Sport option is selected, more available torque is sent to the rear wheels, resulting in a more dynamic experience. This system provides a larger range of torque distribution variability than many competitors, and it has been adjusted for straight-line acceleration, medium- and high-speed turning, and hill starts.

Safety as a defining element

SUV customers don’t want to take chances when it comes to their passengers’ safety, so Hyundai has included rear side-impact airbags as standard equipment on the 2023 Palisade to assist give extra occupant protection.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Driver Attention Warning, High Beam Assist, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Remote Smart Parking Assist are just a few of the advanced driver assistance systems.

Additionally, the 2023 Palisade comes standard with nine airbags: dual front, dual side-front and rear, driver’s knee, and roll-over-sensing side-curtain airbags. In the event of a collision, the Palisade features a full-length big side curtain airbag with third-row seating coverage for greater rear occupant safety.

Palisade has a particularly rigid construction, with Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) strategically placed in important sections to offer improved tensile strength. Advanced High Strength Steel provides a number of advantages, including reduced total vehicle weight and increased vehicle strength and stiffness without the high price of more exotic lightweight materials.

In a severe crash, robust underbody and side components are intended to increase energy absorption and cabin intrusion, particularly in the small overlap test. In the event of a collision, its underbody employs several load channels to help distribute possible crash energy.
