Bilim Pharmaceuticals� R&D Center is one of the largest R&D centers of the Turkish pharmaceutical industry with a total of 4,500 m2 in laboratory space. R&D center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and carries out its efforts by means of technological and sensitive laboratory devices, with laboratory data automation and R&D pilot production facilities at FDA standards. Established with a $ 15 million investment, the R&D center boasts the largest R&D laboratory of the Turkish pharmaceutical industry. At the center, generic versions of original drugs, whose patents have expired, are prepared for offering to the market. The center is equipped with 200 pieces of the state-of-the-art equipment.

Production Plants

Bilim Pharmaceuticals carries out its production activities at two separate plants in �erkezk�y and Gebze which are designed in accordance with cGMP (current good manufacturing practices). Approved by the German Ministry of Health, Bilim �erkezk�y Beta Lactam antibiotics production plant, which has an indoor area of 9,250 m2, has been in operation since 1998.

Having cost � 120 million, Bilim Gebze, with an indoor area of 51,500 m2, is the largest drug manufacturing plant in Turkey according to production forms. Accounting for 13% of the total production volume of the Turkish pharmaceutical industry with a manufacturing capacity of 250 million boxes per year, Bilim Gebze, as Turkey�s largest drug manufacturing plant and also one of Europe�s largest facilities, was designed and built according to American FDA standards.
