Check the LD +5VDC power supply of the LD PWB J140 pin-8. 5. If no problem is found, replace the following parts in sequence: • ROS Assembly (PL 2.1) • ESS/MCU PWB (PL 18.3)

Your error refers to the ROS motor in the laser unit. Now this means a new ROS Assy (Laser/Scanner) is needed, however if you are technically minded, remove the assy and open it. You will see a spinning mirror. Remove it and clean its shaft and oil with with a very very light oil (Model train oil). reassemble and clean the fixed and spinning mirrors, if it works great and if it does not get some money from the bank and by a new printer. The part number for the ROS is : 062K11210 good luck. Good luck

E510 idicate the ROS motor faulty... PWBA MCU could not receive signals output from SOS Sensor in ROS within the specified time. Possible cause ROS assy, PWB MCU, Harness PWB, or LVPS.. but before you change any.. make sure all your cover are close properly..normally the fuser cover interlock switch can cause this error as well.. check the switch at the right side of the fuser cover...make sure it's not deform .

Refer to Figure 1 and check the wire between the SOS PWB (C) P/J514-2 and the MCU PWB P/J401-B9 for an open circuit. Check the wires between P/J527 and the MCU PWB P/J401 for an open circuit.
