Rna power radical new age review

I have been using SK-II's brand new R.N.A. Power lineup for several weeks now. The Essence and Cream have been reformulated to target all 10 known tell-tale signs of aging, and I can see on my travel-weary skin that it's working! More details after the jump!

The R.N.A. Radical New Age products will soon phase out and replace the Stempower (USA: Essential Power) range. I loved the Stempower Cream, but the new R.N.A. Power Cream has a similar velvety-smooth consistency. The formula is excellent for layering and can be used day or night. It reduces the appearance of my large pores and relieves the dullness that occurs when my skin is dehydrated. I love that the cream is still lightweight so all skin types can use it! SK-II did add a fragrance this time around, but it is ultra light and soothing.

The updated serum is what really impressed me. The Stempower serum had a stingy pipette, but the R.N.A. Power Essence delivers enough serum for your entire face (3 pumps, about half a pea-sized each). The Radical New Age formula is creamier, with a milky white color that absorbs almost instantly. The Stempower serum had a translucent look and more of a gel texture. I find that the R.N.A. formula is an improvement, especially if you suffer from dry patches as I do! It feels nourishing without weighing down my skin, and it helps with resiliency — aka the bouncy effect!

I also notice that the Essence boosts the effects of the Cream, so try using them together for best results. Since my skin is so dehydrated, I have been using the R.N.A. Power duo in the mornings and layering the R.N.A. Essence with SK-II's LXP Ultimate Cream in the evenings!

Some might ask why I always recommend focusing on prevention, and that's because I've seen how it has positively affected my skin. Our skin starts aging earlier and earlier due to global warming and many other factors. I am halfway to 27 and do not have any crows feet or wrinkles despite living in hot and sunny Southern California! That's largely due to the fact that I've taken all the precautionary measures possible. If you're looking for high-performance skin care and/or anti-aging care, look no further. Currently, R.N.A. Power is available at Singapore's Changi airport but should be stocked worldwide over the next year.

Bottom Line: Those who loved Stempower or Essential Power will enjoy the revolutionary new updates to SK-II's best anti-aging skincare!

The clock is always ticking, and nowhere is it more inescapable than on our faces. As you age, your body produces less collagen, a protein that creates the base for hyaluronic acid which contributes to the plumpness of the skin. Premature skin ageing cannot be attributed to one cause. Excessive exposure to sunlight, lack of sleep and stress could also have a profound impact in accelerating the ageing process.

It could be all those days spent sun-soaking or all those all-nighters I pulled in my undergrad days – whatever the cause may be, once I hit my mid-20s, I started to notice that I was getting little creases around the sides of my mouth. I was also increasingly bothered by my dry and crepe-like skin.

That is why I was excited to try out SK-II’s R.N.A Power Airy Milky Lotion ($149 for 50g) which was given to me by SK-II themselves, promising not only to reduce the appearance of pores within the first day of use but also an improved appearance of the ten common signs of aging within 10 days.

The key ingredient – R.N.A Power Radical New Age Complex

This lotion from SK-II’s anti-aging range called R.N.A Power Radical New Age is also said to deliver intense moisture into the skin with SK-II’s signature ingredient, Pitera, hydrolyzed soy and yeast protein, chlorella extract and palmitoyl pentapeptide-4.

This blend of concentrated ingredients that are known collectively as the R.N.A Complex also aims to work on skin cells at every layer of the skin to influence the healthy synthesis of protein like collagen and elastin which are crucial for supple skin.

As you could see, it was definitely worth the try.

How does this SK-II anti-aging lotion fair?

To put these claims to the test, I’ve been using the milky lotion religiously for about two weeks (day and night) on top of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and newfound favourite brightening essence, the SK-II Genoptics Aura Essence.

The milky texture transforms into a watery fluid as you massage it into the skin. A little goes a long way – I only used a 50-cent coin sized dollop of the cream for my entire face. I would recommend dotting the product on your face (make four dots – one on your forehead, one on each side of your cheeks and on your chin) before massaging it into your skin to evenly distribute the product.

Even though I don’t really like my skincare products to be scented, this essence has a mild “almond like” fragrance that is very pleasant and not too overpowering.

It felt very comfortable on my dehydrated, sensitive and tight skin. I was impressed with how quickly it absorbs and how it worked to hydrate the even out lines.

The plumping effect also helped to minimise the appearances of pores around my nose area. Although there is some weight to the product, it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy afterwards so it wouldn’t cause your makeup to slip and slide.

After a week of using the milky lotion, my skin felt a lot more balanced and hydrated. Here’s what really sealed the deal for me: my eczema-prone cheek and chin area did not feel dry or flakey, which for me meant that the lotion did work.

Also, when I primed my face with the milky lotion before makeup, I noticed that my foundation didn’t crease and settled into my fine lines like it usually would.

So if you are facing problems tied to premature aging like dryness and fine lines and are looking to start on an anti-ageing routine, this is a product worth considering.

While I can’t speak for the efficacy of this product for mature skin types, I would definitely suggest incorporating other treatment products like the R.N.A Power Radical New Age Eye Cream to prevent and treat wrinkles around the delicate eye area for a well-rounded anti-aging routine.
