Can't launch ,mouse stuck in small window top left corner of screen ? *FIXED*
Hi folks,I came back to Miscreated after an initial look as it seems to be gaining a bit of traction( at last). Problem is when I launch the game it appears in windowed mode in middle of the screen - fair enough ,I just check the fullscreen box and hit apply....screen adjusts and main splash screen re-appears full screen but my pointer won't move out of an invisible boxed area about a fifth of total screen size,like its' still in windowed mode ...so I'm unable to click on start . I've to cntr/alt/delete my way out . I can go back to windowed by alt/enter. I've verified the game files . I've an MSI laptop runnning an i7 ,16 gbs Ram, GTX980m gfx card . The screen is 4k but I'm selecting to run in 1080x1020 (no resolution settings make any difference). Strange that I've played it before (can't recall which version/patch) and even recorded my initial footage. Thanks to any suggestions .

You can also plug into a different USB port as, in your case, the faulty port could be the problem. So, do the same, and see if the mouse starts moving.
3] Enable Touchpad
We should also check if the touchpad is enabled or not. Sometimes, there is a key on your laptop that, when pressed, deactivates the touchpad. This can be the cause in your case as well, so just enable the touchpad from the keyboard of your laptop and check if the issue is resolved.
4] Restart Windows Explorer
If your mouse pointer is stuck in the middle of the screen, it could mean that your mouse has not initialized.
Restart the Explorer process, and then Off and On your mouse and see if this helps.
5] Reinstall the mouse driver
Next up, we will reinstall the mouse driver installed on your computer. If you are on a laptop and the touchpad is not working, borrow an external mouse, and if the external mouse is not working just the touchpad. Now, to reinstall the driver, follow the steps mentioned below.
- Hit Win + X and click on Device Manager.
- Go to the problem-causing driver.
- If your Touchpad is not working, go to Human Interface Devices and there you will find the Touchpad driver, it would be named HID-complaint touch pad or something else depending on your OEM.
- External Mouse users should go to Mice and other pointing devices and look for the HID-complaint mouse driver there.
- Right-click on the driver and select Uninstall device.
- Click on Uninstall again to confirm your action.
- Once the Device Manager is refreshed, right-click on Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices and select Scan for hardware changes.
This will reinstall the driver. Now, move the mouse and see if that works.

6] Run Hardware and Device Troubleshooter
Now, we will use the built-in Windows utility to scan your computer to know what’s wrong with it and why the pointing device is not responding, and then apply the recommended solution.
Since we cannot use the mouse, let us get help from the keyboard. Open Run by Win + R, type ‘cmd’ and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Click Yes when the UAC prompt appears. Now, type the following command and hit Enter to open the Hardware Troubleshooter.
