Mixing together the 'Essence Nano technology' and Onsen mineral water from the high mountains of Korea, you get a hydrating cream that deeply moisturizes your skin. Additionally, it is quickly absorbed by your skin making it feel softer, refreshed and simply radiant. No need to reapply during the day, as the fresh feeling lasts for as long as 24 hours.

I'll be starting another year of blogging with this blog entry on a Karmartsclub SG Beauty Blogger Event that I attended last week. I can't wait to introduce my fellow readers and friends to Thai Beauty Brand, Cathy Doll.

I knew about Cathy Doll 2 years ago at a Sample Store event. I remembered walking by a pink booth filled with loads of girly beauty products with polka dots and cute graphics. I got to know the beauty brand a bit better last year when fellow blogger Dawn introduced me to the products during Sample Store's Giftopia event in October 16.

Last week, I got to learn more about the brand and even test some of the products during the event together with 10 other beauty influencers.

Thank you Dawn for inviting me and for sharing with us about Cathy Doll.

Personally, I am impressed by what Cathy Doll has to offer for customers. For starters, the brand has a huge array of products to meet your facial, body and makeup needs. They are all nicely packaged (I mean, who could the resist the feminine packaging in sweet pastel colours?) and are extremely affordably priced. In fact, if you are new to the beauty world and are just starting to build your skincare and makeup collection, this is a good brand to start out without burning a hole in your pocket.

There were A LOT of products during the event and I'm not able to feature everything on this space so I'll be concentrating on a selected few, particularly those that I have either tried before or have tested out on that day.

Let's start with one of the bestsellers, the Cathy Doll Splash Essence Series ($24 each). The essence is a product that you use after toner and before moisturiser for that additional step of care for your skin. I have tried all 3 products before and they are namely:

  1. Water Splash Essence with L-Glutathione - An essence that brightens your face instantaneously and whitens your skin in the long run. I went on to apply the product on my arms as well, LOL.
  1. Milky Splash Essence with Heot Gae Na Mu - This essence comes with a light fragrance and helps to soften your skin.
  1. Gold Splash Essence with Bee Venom - I love the texture of this essence as it is super lightweight. Additionally, it firms my skin and plumps it with moisture. Definitely my favourite essence out of the 3.

Cathy Doll also has products to protect and soothe your skin from harmful UV rays.

I was absolutely in love with the Cathy Doll Invisible Sun Protection with SPF 33 PA ++ ($18.90) because the texture of the sunscreen was AMAZING. I now understand why it's called 'Invisible' because it practically disappears into your skin upon application. I have many friends, especially guys who still hate wearing sunscreen because they don't like the feeling of having an additional coating on their face. But with this suncreen, you seriously won't feel a thing. No greasiness, no sticky residue - nothing! People, there's no excuses not to wear sunscreen anymore!

If most unfortunately, your skin gets burnt by the sun, soothe it with Cathy Doll Aloe Vera & Snail Serum Soothing Gel ($5.99). Lately, snail products are all the rage. While Aloe Vera is great for replenishing moisture, reducing redness as well as treating burns and scars, snail mucin complements it with nutrients and anti-ageing properties that will protect the skin from further damage, dryness and infection. You can use this product on both face and body and one tube of this

is also FREAKING cheap.

Introducing one of Cathy Doll's latest products, the Cathy Doll Real Brow 4D Tattoo Tint ($9.90 each) that comes in 3 shades of brown - Ash Brown, Dark Brown and Grey Brown.

The tattoo tint comes with 4 tips and helps to ensure that your eyebrows look neat, beautiful and natural after application. This product is also quick-drying and does not budge even when it comes into contact with water and sweat. Although I don't use eyebrow products, I have many friends who depend on them so I'll definitely recommend them to get this affordable eyebrow tattoo tint!

I was seated right next to the Cathy Doll Geisha Hanazakari Lip Matte ($12.50 each) so I couldn't help but play with the colours. The 5 lippies that you see in the picture above are formulated specially for Asian skin tones and my favourite has got to be the shade 'Coral Red' which suits all skin tones.

Packaging is pretty; it's easy to apply and colour payoff is amazing. I haven't tested this on my lips though so I can't comment on how it feels but I've seen pictures and I really like the semi-gloss effect. The problem with matte lippies is that they can look a tad dry on your lips if you don't moisturise well but the semi-gloss effect prevents the dry look from occuring so yay! Each lip matte is also very affordable and definitely worth trying.

Another Geisha product is the Cathy Doll Geisha Nigata Malt Powder Pact ($19.90). It is so named because it contains barley malt from the city Nigata, a barley growing area in Japan.

This is the first time I hear of a compact powder that has barley malt in it. If you give the compact powder a little sniff, it also smells fragrant. While the powder conceals imperfections such as wrinkes and pores on your face; it also feeds your skin with nutrients and antioxidants from the barley malt.

I guessed you can call this a makeup product with skincare properties. Thumbs up!

If you are an eyeshadow noob like me, you will love the Cathy Doll Geisha Iroka Eye Color Mousse ($13.90 each). Why so?

Firstly, it merges 2 shades together such that when you apply on your eyelids, it gives a gorgeous layered effect automatically. Secondly, having a mousse texture rather than a powdered texture allows the product to glide onto the eyelids smoothly and easily. In essence, you can finish applying your eyeshadow in just a few swipes. What's there not to like about this fuss-free product?

Need some tender loving care for your body? Cathy Doll also has body products such as their Cathy Doll White Milk Shine Series ($15 each).

You can wash your body with their gentle Shower Mousse, exfoliate with their Shine Peeling Body Scrub and moisturise with their Body Bath Cream. Best of all, they smell like strawberry milk!
