One of the most popular vehicles to buy is the Chevrolet Tahoe. This full-size SUV is an easy purchase for anyone who requires interior space, comfort, amenities, and power for a great price. If you’re interested in one, at this point, you might as well wait for the 2023 model year version. The 2022 Chevy Tahoe is an excellent offering, but the 2023 Chevy Tahoe is getting even better. What will be different with the 2023 Chevy Tahoe? Is everything new worth buying?

According to Car and Driver, the brand new Tahoe now has a few exterior paint colors never seen before. They are Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Moreover, an optional black grille is now available, swapping out the Chevrolet bowtie logo for an all-caps spelling of the brand name a la Ford F-150. Other than these minor changes, the Tahoe will ultimately remain the same regarding design. As a result, anyone uninterested in the current look and feel of the full-size SUV won’t enjoy it anymore in 2023.

New tech and a new package

Next, the highest trim levels, Premier and High Country, can now gain GM’S Super Cruise hands-free driving system. The automaker continues to spread the technology throughout its lineup as GM continues moving it to more and more of its brands.

Lastly, a Performance package is now available for the RST trim level. Buying the 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST means you’re interested in off-roading equipment. The trim level is perfect for providing a little extra off-road prowess and performance upgrades. Now, those upgrades are even better when using the optional package. For example, it adds a sport exhaust system, suspension tweaks, upgraded brakes, and an additional 13 horsepower and seven lb-ft of torque from the 6.2-liter V8 engine.

Although the features included are excellent, how much will it cost you? According to Car and Driver, the 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST with four-wheel drive costs $66,595 without adding any options. However, the optional Performance package is an additional $8,550—a whoppingly high price for a package that only adds a few performance tweaks. Actually, there’s another part to the package that’s kept a little hidden.

Buying the RST Performance package also gives owners the Luxury package. Within the massive price tag is an additional package that includes a lot of luxurious equipment. Specifically, heated second-row seats, adaptive cruise control, and a heated steering wheel. These features are exactly what buyers of a luxury full-size SUV want, so it’s convenient they’re encapsulated into the Performance package.

What’s different with the 2023 Chevy Tahoe? Not much has changed for the new model year. Only the RST Performance package, new styling cues, and Super Cruise availability are new. Unfortunately, buyers looking for a vastly different full-size SUV than the 2022 Tahoe should look elsewhere. For now, not enough is different with the Chevrolet Tahoe to make change your mind. Do you think these changes are worth what they cost?
