What is the 2023 Ram 2500's release date?
I’ve been needing a new truck for a couple of years and I’d like to get a Dodge Ram 2500. I want to make sure I’m getting the newest model possible, so when does the 2023 model come out?
The 2023 Dodge Ram 2500 doesn’t have a set release date just yet, but it’s predicted to come out **by the end of the year. The price hasn’t been released yet, either, but it has a projected MSRP of around $38,050.
The 2023 Ram 2500 is expected to get a mid-cycle upgrade on the inside and outside with all new tech features and a new hood, bumper, and lights. New infotainment features are also on the table for the 2023 model.
Brand new cars come with tons of perks—warranties, updated features, and that new car smell. One downside to new cars, though, is the higher-than-average car insurance rates.

Ram Truckshas decided to expand its portfolio by unveiling the 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel. Apart from the usual 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, it will now be available with an inline-six 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. The new Ram 2500 Rebel will sit directly below the mighty Ram 2500 Power Wagon and just above the 2500 Laramie trim. Similar to the Power Wagon, the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel will be available in the four-wheel-drive version. But, unlike the Power Wagon, the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel does not get the front locker. This is Ram’s second Rebel variant after the light-duty 1500 Rebel was introduced in 2016.
A New Engine To Choose From
Via: Ram
The current lineup of the Ram 2500 trucks uses a massive 6.4-liter V8 engine that delivers 410 HP and 429 lb-ft of power and torque. The same HEMI V8 sits inside the 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel, but the vehicle also gets an optional inline-six 6.7-liter turbo diesel which delivers 370 HP and 850 lb-ft. This is the same engine that delivers 420 HP and 1,075 Nm when installed in the Ram 3500. The power output in the 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel might be a bit lesser than the V8 but the torque delivered by the diesel engine is almost as twice as the gasoline V8. The turbo diesel trim gets a six-speed automatic transmission and the peppier V8 is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The transfer case lets you choose whether you want those power figures on all four wheels or just the rear two.
How Rebellious Is The New 2500 Rebel?
Via: Ram
Irrespective of which engine you choose, the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel offers a package that is ready to go to war from the time it leaves the dealership. The rear-slip differential, rear electronic locker, 20-inch wheels with 33-inch off-road tires, skid plates for fuel tank and transfer case, and a 12,000 lb optional winch installed from the factory, leave, practically, no room for anything aftermarket. The winch, however, is only available with the V8 version as the diesel engine’s air cooler is low hung and doesn’t work well with the winch setup. The new Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel has a maximum towing capacity of 16,870 pounds and maximum payload is 3,140 pounds. A 360-degree camera helps you navigate better while venturing into the wild. It also comes with a digital rearview mirror with tow mode. This setup is complemented with a single-screen display to show both the sides of the 2500 Rebel to help drivers while maneuvering those towing moves.
How Comfortable Does The 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel Get?
Via: Ram
The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel is available in a crew cab configuration with a 6 feet 4 inch box. The crew cab setup gives extra legroom to the rear-seat passengers without compromising on the comfort unlike the quad cab setup. This means the luxury of an SUV’s interiors clubbed with the practicality and utility of a pickup truck’s bed. It results in a relatively smaller bed size, but that’s not much of a deterrent when choosing comfort over more load-carrying capacity. You can choose from three different seating options to suit your taste and needs. It has Ram’s five-link coil spring setup, with an optional rear air suspension.
The interiors allow you to choose between a 12-inch frameless digital gauge cluster or a 12-inch vertical touchscreen. The comfortable ride is made safer using technologies like adaptive cruise control, full-speed forward-collision warning, lane assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection, automatic headlamps, digital rearview mirror with tow mode, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
Strengthening Its Presence In The Pickup Segment
Via: Ducati
Already a force to reckon with in the pickup truck segment, Ram has strengthened its presence with the announcement of the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel. The new model is expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2022 with an MSRP starting at $67,045, with an additional $1,895 destination fee. This is more than the price of the current 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. This price bump is, kind of, justified considering what the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel offers. The aggressive stance and styling from the Rebel badge makes it worth the penny.
Commenting on the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel, Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand CEO – Stellantis said, “Ram Heavy Duty Rebel buyers will enjoy that the newest addition to our versatile lineup offers a combination of off-road performance without having to sacrifice capability. Ram has a deep, rich and strong history of the most capable off-road trucks, and the new 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel adds to that history while delivering the segment’s benchmarks in comfort, luxury materials, innovation and technology.”
